Mission statement: Imani Winds Foundation exists to create meaningful connections through music.

IWF will formally support  Imani Winds' existing  programs, as well as exciting  new partnerships. These  include:  Imani Winds Chamber  Music Festival, now in it's  9th year Legacy Commissioning  Project, now in it's 2nd decade Recordings, upcoming  project will feature the  music of Vijay Iyer, Reena  Esmail and Frederic Rzewski I.M.A.N.I. (Inspire,  Mentor, And Nurture  Initiative), our latest  venture to work with  organizations that focus  on the education of  young musicians. Become a Member of the Imani  Winds Foundation. This $25,000 prize  recognizes innovative commitment to the  music of our time.  We were commended for  what we have achieved in  promoting new music and   enriching the lives of  young people through  educational programs. We are immensely humbled  by this award!
