Patrick McCoy, Examiner.com: 'Curtis Stewart named 1st Place winner of Eastern Region Competition held in DC'

"Last night at Washington, D.C.'s historic Asbury United Methodist Church, violinist Curtis J. Stewart was named first place winner of the National Association of Negro Musicians, Inc.  Eastern Region Scholarship Competition for Strings.  Representing the David I. Martin Guild of New York City, Stewart will now represent the entire Eastern Region at the national competition in Dallas, Texas this summer.  


"Stewart is a native of New York City and a graduate of the Eastman School of Music and Curtis Institute."
