Kevin John Edusei
Sergio A. Mims:
Conductor Kevin John Edusei has recently signed with
the major international artist management firm of Intermusica which
represents many major international artists in the classical music field
including singers, soloists, directors, composers and conductors such
as Marin Alsop and Sir John Eliot Gardiner.
Edusei
who is currently both the Chief Conductor of the Munich Symphony
Orchestra and the Bern Opera House has been praised repeatedly for the
drama and tension that he brings to his music making and for his clear
sense of architecture and attention to detail. He has conducted widely
across Europe and in particular Germany and the Netherlands dividing his
time equally between the concert hall and opera house.
He
conducts a broad range of repertoire from the baroque to contemporary
with a particular interest in German music from the early romantic
period to early 20th century. And this summer concludes his tenure as
Chief Conductor at the Bern Opera House with a new production of Wagner's
Tristan and Isolde.
