Hidden No More: Classical Music by Artists of African Descent

Le Chevalier de Saint-Georges (1745-1799) & John McLaughlin Williams

Hidden No More: Classical Music by Artists of African Descent

Here is a link to  new video, "Hidden No More: Classical Music by Artists of African Descent."  It is 2:27 in length.
https://youtu.be/0ldAM0TzIJw

Most of the audio is from my radio interviews over the 20 years since the launch of the website now known as AfriClassical.com.The soundtrack is from the Fourth Movement of William Grant Still's Symphony No. 1 (Afro-American).

The artists pictured have appeared in either the website or its companion blog, AfriClassical.blogspot.com.  My warmest thanks to all the artists and others whose permissions made this venture possible.

I  hope the video will play a small part in introducing more students and adults to the long and rich history of Classical Music composed, performed and conducted by people of African Descent.  I hope you will share the video with people and organizations you feel may be interested.

My highest tribute and appreciation to William J. Zick, Michigan retired Jewish administrative judge, for his devotion, without sponsors or outside funding, to heightening awareness of neglected contributions in classical music, relevant current events, and information via Africlassical.com and blog
