Our 2015 concert, entitled "Walk Together", commemorates the 50th anniversary year of the passage of the Voting Rights Act. This program pays homage in music to the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We will present music composed in his honor by Valerie Capers, Lena McLin, and Joshua McGhee. AACI gratefully acknowledges the Musical Grant Program of the San Francisco Friends of Chamber Music for providing a grant to commission a new composition by McGhee.
The program will include a wide range of music, drawing from the traditions of spirituals, freedom songs, jazz, and classical styles.

These concerts are made possible by contributions from you. Thank you so much to all of you who donated to our matching grant campaign in December. We met our goal! All proceeds from concert ticket sales will benefit Eastside College Preparatory School.
