The Moonlight Toccata [NC: Wayne Leupold Editions, 2004] is in Sonata-Allegro form. The exposition is based on two theme groups, a nursery rhyme and a Yoruba folk song: (1) "Omo mi o, akurubetekube" [O my short child]; (2) "Toju iwa re" [Take care of your manners]. The development in D major explores the two themes, while theme group one alone returns in the recapitulation.”
