Fresh from a 2009 Carnegie Hall performance as first place winner of the Alexander International Voice Competition, countertenor Darryl Taylor will once again collaborate with the outstanding maestro, Brent McMunn, this time in an evening co-sponsored by the National Association of Composers, USA (NACUSA). This evening will present favorite works, alongside new ones, underscoring the vitality of the countertenor voice! Music by Handel, Ibert, Montsalvatge, and world premieres of "In the Palace of Time" by Persis Vehar, "Spiritual Songs" by Deon Price, and "Silk Dragons" by Alan Terricciano (for septet and voice, with video by John Crawford).
