Expose your title to an interested audience at the 2019 ASALH annual meeting. As a participating author in the Authors Book Signing Event, your title will be posted to the Featured Authors Event page on the ASALH website. In addition, it will be listed in the Annual ASALH Convention Souvenir Journal. The souvenir journal is the gateway to more interested parties as attendees share the journal with their colleagues. Additionally, the souvenir journal is posted on the ASALH website.

Applications Require ALL of the Following
Membership to ASALH (click link to pay online). ASALH Membership is required. If you are not a current member, you must first process your membership and then register as an author.
Author Processing Fee of $50.00 (click link to pay online).
Send for approval one (1) autographed copy of the book(s) you intend to sell by July 31, 2019 to Attn: Publications Coordinator at the following address:

2. Enter your password.

Membership dues and Author's Processing Fee can be paid by check, or you can provide a credit card number on the Registration Form.
Event Date: Thursday, October 3, at 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.
The Featured Authors Event will take place on Thursday, October 3, 2019, as part of the 104th Annual ASALH Conference. The event is open to the public and will be held at the Embassy Suites by Hilton Convention Center. Conference Registration is not a prerequisite to participate in the featured Authors Event.
Our annual meeting is an occasion to share the cultural and historical contributions by people of African descent. Attendees from across the nation and around the world will convene to explore the 2019 National Black History theme: Black Migrations.
With over 200 panels featuring prominent figures in Black cultural studies, as well as scholars and students from all disciplines, the ASALH Conference presents an opportunity for you to present research and current projects, as well as, learn about leading projects in the field of African American History.
