The
Association for the Study of African American Life & History
(ASALH) is the world's oldest learned society devoted to Black life,
history and culture. Founded 99 years ago by Dr. Carter G. Woodson, the
recognized father of Black History ASALH will host our annual convention
in Memphis, TN September 24-September 28, 2014 at the Peabody Hotel.
ASALH
has set the annual Black History theme which is "Civil Rights in
America." Our 1000 conventioneers will explore the topic with events
that will appeal to all who appreciate the contributions of African
Americans. We need your help and expertise to make this annual
convention in Memphis one of the best ever.
