Mssng Lnks presents William Grant Still's "A Bayou Legend"

Mssng Lnks and Hibernian Hall, in association with the Community Music Center of Boston, present William Grant Still's opera A Bayou Legend during a 3-day performance series May 10-12th.  
Still's A Bayou Legend was the first production of an opera by a man of color to be nationally televised (with libretto by Verna Arvey).  It tells the tale of a man in the Mississippi Bayou who falls in love with a spirit.

There is no admission for this event, but all freewill donations will be accepted.

Jones III, is one of the events to celebrate on the anniversary of the composer's birth May 11, 1895.  Another is the 3-day performance this weekend  of William Grant Still's opera A Bayou Legend.
