Sergio A. Mims writes:

I wanted you and your readers to know that I will be devoting another program on my weekly classical music radio show on WHPK-FM in Chicago to the music of composer Adolphus Hailstork on Tuesday Feb 9.

On that show I will be broadcasting his Symphony No. 1 written in 1988 and his 1985 orchestral work An American Port of Call which "evokes the hustle inspired by Norfolk Virginia."  Both works are performed by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra conducted by JoAnn Falletta

Also on the show will the Chopin's piano quartet version of his Piano Concerto No. 1 and Oliver Messiaen's "Turangalila Symphony." My show can be heard every Tuesday 12 Noon-3PM (U.S. Central Time) locally on 88.5PM and worldwide livestream on whpk.org.
