Harry T. Burleigh Society institutes an Artist Relief Fund to give an unrestricted, non-taxable grant to each artist who has performed on a Burleigh Society event

Dear Friends of the Burleigh Society,

We are thinking of you during this horrific coronavirus pandemic and hope that good health and comfort are with you. So much has been disrupted and we are increasingly concerned about the impact of the virus on performing artists, who are losing opportunity and income because of mounting cancelled events and contracts.
Out of admiration for Harry T. Burleigh’s support of artists throughout his lifetime, The Society is instituting an Artist Relief Fund to give an unrestricted, non-taxable grant to each artist who has performed on a Burleigh Society event.
We recognize that this is a moment of unprecedented financial duress across the world, yet we hope that you will join us at any level of giving. We have seed funding of $50,000 that will match your donation 2:1! 100% of donations will go directly to individual artists.
Please join us in supporting Burleigh Society artists, whose work fills stages with creativity, beauty, and rigor. We are accepting donations for the Artist Relief Fund through May 15, 2020.
Thank you for joining us to support musicians in Burleigh’s legacy,
Marti Slaten and Lynne Foote
