September 2013 Program of British Music Radio Includes 'Valse de la Reine' (4:32) of Afro-British Composer Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912)

[Samuel Coleridge-Taylor (1875-1912) is profiled at AfriClassical.com, which features a comprehensive Works List and a Bibliography by Prof. Dominique-René de Lerma, www.CasaMusicaledeLerma.com. We are collaborating with the Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Foundation of the U.K., www.SCTF.org.uk]

British Music Radio,
is a free on-demand Internet radio service which has just released its second monthly program, for September 2013.  The August program remains available, as will the September program.  The new program is three hours, seven minutes and eight seconds long (03:07:08).  The service describes itself at its website:

Jan Cosgrove writes of the feature called The Journey in the second BMR program, in the September '13 e-Letter of British Music Radio:

"The Journey also reaches its second edition and has an end-of-summer content/feel to it.  Music by Coleridge Taylor, Bridge, Britten, Holst, Moeran, Boyce, Handel etc and a Tudor Sequence.  Hosted by yours truly. Over 3 hours of great music."

The piece by Samuel Coleridge-Taylor is the fourth work on the program, which begins as follows and includes many more listings.  We hope future programs will feature some of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's more substantial works, such as the Violin Concerto in G Minor, Op. 80; Symphony in A Minor; Ballade in C Minor; Clarinet Quintet in F-sharp Minor; and Piano Quintet in G Minor.
