Louise Toppin often performed under the direction of Dr. Paul Freeman at the Chicago Sinfonietta.  She writes about its 2013-2014 Season:

I have sung and recorded with the Chicago Sinfonietta under Paul Freeman's leadership on many occasions and I too am saddened to read of the missed opportunity to present Price's work to a new audience in its original form.  There are many brilliant ways to encourage the hip hop generation's participation and it is my hope that our musical community can creatively do so as an alternative.  Thank you.
