On Sunday at 2:30 p.m., celebrated vocalist Patti Austin joins the Boston Pops and Thomas Wilkins,
the BSO’s Germeshausen Youth and Family Concerts Conductor, for a
season-ending Pops matinee featuring a tribute to Ella Fitzgerald.
Ms.
Austin, who last performed with the Boston Pops in spring 2012, will
perform classic Fitzgerald tunes including “Satin Doll,” “How High the
Moon,” and “Our Love Is Here to Stay.” The first half of the program
will be dedicated to the art of song, including selections from the
1930 Gershiwin musical, Girl Crazy, Gould’s Pavanne, and selections from My Fair Lady.
