Anyango was born and raised in Munich, Germany as the daughter of African American soprano Africa Yarbo-Davenport and the late Austrian conductor Hans Peter Jillich. She was trained at the music academies of Munich, Germany and began her undergraduate studies at the University of Salzburg ‘Mozarteum’, Austria."  "Anyango is Prof. Castleman’s Teaching Assistant at the Eastman School of Music, instructs a violin studio at Eastman’s Community Music School and conducts the Green Strings ensemble."

This Tuesday, August 13th @ 1:00PM I will have the pleasure of performing live on the air for WXXI.org or 91.5 FM Rochester's Classical Music Station - the show Backstage Pass is hosted by Julia Figueras. 

Other artists include Grammy Winner Terrence Wilson (piano), ESM Alum Kelly Hall-Tompkins (violin) of the Mark O'Connor Quartet & RPO's trumpet Herb Smith. It is a privilege to share the stage with such wonderful & inspiring artists.
