Jon Arterton on 'The Lee Shore' of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor: 'what a great piece of music it is!'

[Dr. Ysaye Maria Barnwell]

On August 6, 2012 AfriClassical posted: "'The Lee Shore' of Samuel Coleridge-Taylor Performed by Outer Cape Chorale Chamber Singers on YouTube."  The group consists of singers living on Cape Cod.  Jon Arterton of www.OuterCapeChorale.org responds with thanks and a suggestion that Dr. Ysaye Maria Barnwell be added to AfriClassical.com.
In 2005 the time and expense required for website additions made it necessary to freeze the number of biographies at 52, where it has remained since.

Jon Arterton writes:
Thanks very much – what a great piece of music it is! You might want to add Ysaye Barnwell to your list of composers. She sings with Sweet Honey in the Rock and has written some amazingly powerful music. Recently she wrote a full-length cantata called “Fortune’s Bones” http://www.ymbarnwell.com/notes.php#lala

Thanks for the great website!
Jon
