Five
hundred choral voices will this weekend honour Africa's eminent choral
composer, Mzilikazi Khumalo who is also celebrating 80 years. Professor Khumalo will be honoured as part of the series of the Sing Africa choral concerts.
His
most popular compositions include Izibongo ZikaShaka and Umangificwa
Ngukufa. His works also include the first African opera; uShaka and Princess Magogo. Professor Mzilikazi Khumalo joined Morning Live to speak about his musical journey, accompanied by Sidwell Mhlongo;
conductor of The Gauteng Choristers, one of the choirs performing at The
Linder Auditorium in Johannesburg on Sunday.
