Middlebury College: Martin Luther King Spiritual Choir Performs Monday, January 16 at 8 PM

[Martin Luther King Spiritual Choir singing at Middlebury College during 2011 observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday]

Prof. François S. Clemmons writes of the above photo: “It was last year during the MLK National Holiday Celebration. AND the Middlebury Martin Luther King Choir sang several spirituals from the Civil Rights era: We Shall Over Come; The Storm Is Passing Over; Ain’t Gonna Let Nobody Turn Me Around; Ah Woke Up This Morning Wid My Mind Stayed On Freedom; and This Little Light Of Mine. The same choir is singing again in celebration of the legacy of Dr. King at Mead Chapel on Middlebury College’s campus. It’s our 14th annual concert in his memory. It’s free and open to the public. I founded the group and am it’s conductor.
Most Sincerely,

François S. Clemmons"
