Hello from Bill
I am sharing the latest review {July 7th} from Classical Voice North America.
This
is an expansive review contextualizing the cultural history that
surrounded the event as well as insights and history about the
composers, whose music was showcased. The review also has hyperlinks to
the Live Streamed performance
As I have said all along, Adolphus' Tulsa 1921, Pity These Ashes, Pity The Dust is a work of great consequence and beauty.
For me,
it belongs in the American canon for Mezzo Sopranos, as Barber's
Knoxville Summer of 1915 is in the American canon for Sopranos.
With all good wishes,
Bill Doggett
