Black Pearl Chamber Orchestra returns to the Barnes Foundation for an exciting First Fridays performance that offers our very own talented musicians as soloists! Maestro Jeri Lynne Johnson will lead the ensemble in music by Mozart, Schubert, and Dr. George Walker that will delight audiences of all ages!

Lyric Brass Quintet

Formed in 1998, the Lyric Brass Quintet (Kevin Dines & Christopher Shiley, Trumpets; Larry Williams, Horn; Milton Aldana, Trombone; and Andrew Spang, Tuba) has established itself as an exciting ensemble dedicated to bringing the rich traditions of brass chamber music to new audiences and forging new ground in the area of concert performance.

Known for her “bold and dramatically characterized playing” and “tone that draws in one’s ear with sounds and ideas that simply cannot be resisted,”
Julietta Curenton has established herself as a soloist, chamber musician, orchestral player and music educator.
