Imani Winds performs the world premiere of  Phenomenal Women, a concerto for wind  quintet and orchestra by Valerie Coleman,  with the American Composers Orchestra at  Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall. Phenomenal  Women, inspired by Maya Angelou's iconic  poem honors Claressa Shields, Serena  Williams, Michelle Obama, Katherine  Johnson and all Immigrant Mothers.  Concertgoers are invited to a post-concert  reception in Zankel Hall.   IN OTHER EXCITING NEWS... We are thrilled to announce the appointment  of flutist Brandon Patrick George as Imani  Winds' newest member. Brandon succeeds  the incomparable Valerie Coleman, founder  of Imani Winds.
