With joy, the African American Composer Initiative (AACI) announces our 10th Anniversary 2019
Eastside College Preparatory School Benefit Concerts on Saturday, January 26th and Sunday, 27th at 3:00pm! Our wonderful ensemble of Bay Area musicians welcomes back beloved guest artists, pianist Valerie Capers and bassist John Robinson, for a celebratory concert of music by African American
composers. Over the past decade, so many people have come together to embark on this wondrous
musical journey – composers, performers, production crew, Eastside staff and students, volunteers, and
each of you–our treasured audience.

As always, all ticket proceeds are donated to the Eastside College Preparatory School that has
graciously hosted all of our concerts in its stellar Performing Arts Center. The AACI conducts its own
fundraising campaigns to cover concert production costs and to commission new works from our
composers. The 2019 concert fundraising campaign is now under way. With your help,
the 10th Anniversary Concert will be our best ever.

We need you to help us make these concerts possible.
