"My plan for this season is to present concerts
that will feature the creations and recreations
of Arts rooted in Africa and Arts rooted in Africa.
Most importantly this is great art, worthy of the
world stage, which happens to have been created
by people of African descent. As a part of our
presentation this season, the orchestra will
feature music by well-known local composer
Fred Onovwerosuoke ("FredO"), whose music
evokes Mother Africa. Incidentally, FredO's work
calls for optional  interpretive dance, which will
be performed by the Inversion Dance Theatre
choreographed and led by Keith Williams...Thanks
to the generosity of our sponsors, the University
City Symphony Orchestra is able to present this
concert free of charge to you, our beloved
audience."
