was recorded on
12 Jamuary 1992, but not released until 2001. Michael

This
was done around the time that the William Grant Still symphonies were
recorded. Solitude was not issued on the original CD’s.
Interesting!!! I had mixed views on the ‘symphonic’
interpretations of Ellington and recourse to listening to the
composers own recordings which are illuminating. Regards, Mike”
