William Grant Still's 'Romance' in Faculty Recital at Arkansas State University-Beebe Nov. 8

Dr. Brent Bristow tells AfriClassical that the Faculty Recital at the Department of Music of the Arkansas State University-Beebe has been rescheduled for Nov. 8, 2010. He adds: “I will be performing Still's Romance on the program."

“BEEBE — Arkansas State University-Beebe’s department of music will present a faculty recital at 7:30 p.m. in the Science Building Lecture Hall on the Beebe campus. The recital will be presented by instructors Brent Bristow on saxophone and Lauren Schack Clark on piano. The program will include selections by Michael Torke, Jacob Ter Veldhuis, William Grant Still, David Diamond and John Cheetham. The recital is free and open to the public. “Bristow is director of bands and assistant professor of saxophone at ASU-Beebe, and is also a member of the Arkansas Saxophone Quartet, with recent performances in Georgia, Washington, North Carolina, and Mississippi. Clark is associate professor of piano at ASU-Jonesboro, and is an area keyboard coordinator.
