What an honor it has been to have your generous participation in 2021 in celebrating 80 years of one of America's great composers, Adolphus Hailstork.
Let us revisit that celebration and celebrate the Season of Advent with his wonderful Toccata on Veni Emmanuel.
Dr Hailstork's setting has very personal meaning for me. It represents a five decades-long appreciation of great Cathedral organ music in the Doggett Family encapsulated by my mother Frances' 1971 Christmas Midnight Mass at Notre Dame with legendary organist Pierre Cochereau!.
Thank you Adolphus Hailstork for this gift to all of us.
