Attended March 10, 2019 Long Beach Opera  Community Conversations #2 "Equity and Diversity in the Arts" at Museum of Latin American Art. A panel discussion included the "Prince of Tenors", Lawrence Brownlee, and Anthony Davis, composer of the opera THE CENTRAL PARK FIVE. In addition to singing renowned bel canto roles, Lawrence Brownlee also sang the role of Charlie Parker in the 2015 opera YARDBIRD. Brownlee is currently helping the Philadelphia Opera achieve greater diversity and expanded repertoire. Tenor Lawrence Brownlee and bass-baritone Eric Owens will team on stage March 13, 2019 at Disney Concert Hall for an unprecedented Los Angeles recital.
