Please note Maestro Renee' Baker will conduct Tuesday, December 16 at 7:00 p.m. - when the Chicago Music Association presents the 2nd annual Southside Do-It Yourself Messiah South
Shore Cultural Center, 7059 S. South Shore Drive. Maestro Renee' Baker
will also conduct Roy Harris "Bicentennial Symphony" and speak the part
of the female narrator during the 150th anniversary concert to
celebrate the 13th Amendment to the US Constitution Ending Slavery on
January 17, 2015 at Luckman Fine Arts Complex in Los Angeles. The work was written for orchestra with large chorus. Roy Harris "Bicentennial Symphony" is the strongest musical statement on U.S. History, slavery, and race
relations ever made by an American composer. Thanks, John Malveaux
