Sergio A. Mims - Cellist Seth Parker Woods reflects on the unabashed celebration of the Black and Brown experience in SOUND/SITES


This Friday, boundary-breaking cellist and Artist-in-Residence in the Department of Music Seth Parker Woods reaches beyond strict performance in the second installment of UChicago Presents' SOUND/SITES series. Recorded in the Renaissance Society and the Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago, Woods's program explores the "unabashed celebration of the Black and Brown experience" with multimedia performances of music by Monty Adkins, Nathalie Joachim, Alvin Singleton, and Fredrick Gifford.
SOUND/SITES with Seth Parker Woods premieres at 7:00 pm CDT on Friday, February 26, and it will be available to stream until 11:59 pm CDT on Sunday, February 28. Tickets are $15, FREE for University of Chicago students. More info at chicagopresents.uchicago.edu.
