Chineke! continues its thrilling residency with a romantic and
inspirational programme featuring the brilliantly talented Baritone, Roderick Williams OBE. Williams performs a brand new commission, Dream Song,
the words for which are taken directly from Martin Luther King’s
legendary ‘I have a dream…’ speech. Chineke! and Williams premiere the
work in London two nights before at London’s Southbank. Surrounding
this Bristol premiere is Britten’s The Building of the House, Coleridge-Taylor’s exhilarating Romance in G for Violin and Orchestra (feat. soloist Sofia Roldan Cativa) and Beethoven’s oft-overshadowed Symphony No 4 in B flat.
