The acclaimed National Youth Choir will give first concert in Norwich for many years, featuring music from women composers, following a free pop-up performance in the city.
The UK’s top young choristers are coming to Norwich this month for two performances.
Following a free ‘pop-up performance’ outside The
Forum on April 15 at 12pm, the National Youth Choir will give an evening
concert of beautiful choral music at St Andrew’s Hall.
Inspired by NYCGB’s 2018 artistic theme of ‘Women
in Song’, the choir’s first concert in Norwich for many years features
music from UK composers like Sheena Phillips, Roxanna Panufnik, Thea
Musgrave and Imogen Heap and pieces from American composer Libby Larsen
and Jamaican Eleanor Alberga.
