Attended 1st day session UNTANGLING BLACK AND BROWN SOLIDARITY by Dr. Laura Pulido-professor at USC-she researches race, environmental justice, Chicana/o studies, critical human geography, and Los Angeles. Dr. Pulido studies how various groups experience racial and class oppression, how these experiences differ among particular communities of color, and how they mobilize to create a more socially-just world. We chatted before and after her presentation.

Attended 1st day session music performance of 'Watts 1965: A Remembrance' by composer Deon Nielsen Price performed by saxophonist Chika Inoue and pianist Mary Au. See separate pictures with composer and artists
