I was at the Kennedy Center Wednesday evening, January 20th, for
Alyson Cambridge's brilliant "In Her Voice." The evening began with
the performance of the Bolcom/Seaton solo opera "From The Diary of Sally
Hemings," performed superbly with great dramatic sensitivity by lyric
soprano Alyson Cambridge. In the second half, Alyson sang beautifully
two wonderful newly commissioned works by Jeffrey Mumford and Adam
Schoenberg. Brava, Alyson! A evening to be remembered!
