Guest artists Mark
Rucker, internationally acclaimed Metropolitan Opera baritone, and Charles
Joseph Smith, composer and award-winning pianist, will perform a duo-recital
to benefit Chicago Music Association’s Scholarship Fund and to help underwrite
the cost of the free community concerts to be presented by CMA during the
2014-2015 concert season.
Approximately one-third of our annual costs are
covered by donations, consequently, we rely heavily on the generosity of
contributors like you to help cover the remainder of our costs. This is why we are asking for your
financial assistance at this time.
Mr. Rucker will be accompanied by his wife,
pianist Sadie Rucker. Baritone Rucker and pianist Smith are both native
Chicagoans.
Making a cameo
appearance to open the duo- recital for the two renowned artists is The
Sherwood String Ensemble, Robert Fisher, conductor
General Admission is by
a donation of $35 for Adults and $15 for Students with ID and Children 12
years of age and under.
Additional donation categories include reserved seating (number of
seats determined by the amount of your donation) and recognition in the
printed program book.

$350.00 - Underwriter (receives three (3) Reserved
Seats)
$200.00 – Guarantor
(receives two (2) Reserved Seats)
$ 75.00 – Supporter (receives one (1)
Reserved Seat)
It will be our pleasure to acknowledge donations of
$75.00 or more in the concert program, however a gift of any amount will be
greatly appreciated. Chicago Music
Association is a not-for-profit tax exempt organization. All donations are tax
deductible to the extent of the
law.
Names to be included in
the printed program must be received NO LATER THAN Tuesday, August 12. You may
submit your name, address and telephone number by email to
chgomusicassn@aol.com. Please make all checks or money orders
payable to Chicago Music Association and mail IMMEDIATELY to ensure
receipt BEFORE the print deadline of August 14.
