MusicUNTOLD presents "Los Angeles Hosts Korean & American Piano Music" featuring pianist Phoenix Park-Kim and Hye-Young Suh on August 12th and 14th, 2014. During the
first half, all works by contemporary Korean composers will be
performed by pianist Hye-Young Suh. The latter half is all American
pieces to include R. Nathaniel Dett performed by Phoenix Park-Kim. Then
for the last piece Suh will join Kim on the stage for the four hand
piece. The joint piano recitals at Wilshire United Methodist Church and
Angelus Plaza Senior Housing are within the same week as Korean Independence Day. The Korean Bell of Friendship and Bell Pavillion at Angels Gate Park in San Pedro, Ca. is rung only four times each year: the Fourth of July, August 15
(Korean Independence Day) and New Year's Eve, and every September to coincide
with bell ringings around the country to celebrate Constitution week. http://www.sanpedro.com/sp_point/korenbel.htm
