At 27, William Sean Harrison has proven himself to be a resonant voice in the Detroit music scene. William is a proud honors graduate of Cody High School and received his formal education at Wayne State University.

William also has an active career as a pianist and conductor.  Mr. Harrison is the music director at the Catholic Church of the Madonna in Detroit.  Securing this position made Mr. Harrison the youngest music director in the Archdiocese of Detroit; a diocese of more than 350 parishes.





William Harrison is the founder of the 
Fr. William T. Cunningham Memorial Choir, a choir that placed first in the NANM International Spiritual Competition in 2005 and in February 2007, members of the chorus took a pilgrimage to sing and present concerts in Rome, Italy.  Mr. Harrison is in demand to conduct the choral masterworks.   

In August 2006 William was invited to conduct Mahler’s 8th Symphony in Newfoundland, Canada critics said of him: “The most insightful and spiritual performance in years! Harrison is a young conductor with much fervor and personality.   Harrison was as masterful as any seasoned conductor.” William’s concert stage highlights include: Max Fisher Center (formerly Detroit Symphony Orchestra Hall), Carnegie Hall, and Kennedy Center.
