Thomas Otten (Paul Dagys)

On Thursday June 27th, at 4pm, Thomas Otten will give a lecture-recital on the Twenty-Six Etudes for Solo Piano, by composer H. Leslie Adams.
"The Hippest Etudes in Town" is part of the festival The Interaction of Jazz and Classical Music, taking place at Block Hall, West Virginia University in  Morgentown.
Recorded on Albany Records by Maria Corley (excerpt of 12 Etudes), this enormous collection of etudes is one of the gems of the ACA music catalog, which features many other popular works by H. Leslie Adams, including songs and chamber music.

Thomas Otten (Associate Professor at UNC), a California native born of German-American parents, has been hailed by the New York Times as “an extremely original player who puts a formidable technique at the service of his ideas.”
