Here is a link that was sent to me by Dr. Lisa Darby Walker (originally from Chicago) and how she created the Jamaica Symphony Orchestra. Check it out: This is great historical information. She and her husband now live in Paris, France but still is very connected with the Symphony on an international basis where she is starting branches of it all over the world. I enjoyed playing cello with them as artist-in-residence last November.
