MVP presents a program of women composers on International Women's Day including works by Boulanger, Beach, Price, Mendelssohn-Hensel, Seeger and a world premiere fanfare by Dione Tan (winner of the MVP Fanfare Contest for women composers of Berklee College of Music)

Thank you for contacting me, Bill. We are very excited about presenting an all women composers program, and especially excited about introducing Price’s music to the public. A couple of years ago, we played a Wm. Grant Still string piece and I had the good fortune to be in contact with his daughter. That was in a program of music from the WPA (we did it in sites with WPA murals and in collaboration with WPA murals restoration projects. One set of murals is in the African American Cultural Center in San Francisco.) I am looking forward to visiting your site and blog. Thank you, Laurie Cohen
