On Wednesday, August 12, 2009, Celso will perform at British Columbia's MusicFest Vancouver, formerly Festival Vancouver, in the Van Dusen Gardens at 7:00 PM. The guitarist will be accompanied by Liam Teague, Virtuoso Steel Pan player; Rich Brown, Bassist; Gilberto Moreaux, Drummer; and Sal Ferreras, Percussion. describes the award-winning CD Jogo Da Vida (Game of Life),and provides links for obtaining Celso's recordings:

He is joined by his brother jazz guitarist Carlinhos Machado, Cuban piano player - David Virelles, bassist - Rich Brown, Brazilian percussionist - Cyro Baptista, and singers Eliana Cuevas and Guiomar Campbell. In 2008 Jogo Da Vida won a Radio-Canada Galaxie Award and a Canadian Folk Music Award for World Solo Artist of the Year. It was also was nominated for a JUNO Award and a Western Canadian Music Award.
