LET YOUR VOICE JOIN THE JUNETEENTH CELEBRATION!
LET FREEDOM SING | FESTIVAL CHOIR
We
are looking for 75 inspired singers that would like to join the Ritz
Chamber Players and the St. Augustine Music Festival as we celebrate
Juneteenth – also known as Freedom Day- on the anniversary date of the
June 19, 1865 emancipation of those who had been enslaved in the United
States. Along with the SAMF Orchestra and the RCP, we look forward to
YOU joining the united multi-community choir performing an inspiring
selection of African-American Spirituals and classical works rejoicing
in the triumphs of the Civil Rights Movement.
The Juneteenth Festival Choir
will be directed by renowned choral conductors Dr. Herbert
Vincent-Ricardo Pea’dro Jones and Deborah McDuffie. Rehearsals leading
to the performances will be offered via Zoom/Facebook.
The performance will be held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. If you are interested, please contact:
Deborah McDuffie at: ritzvoices@gmail.com.
