For Variations on a Guyanese Folksong by American composer and educator Adolphus Hailstork, pianist Mineva will be joined by violinist Cindy Moyer. “The Hailstork is a really fun piece,” says Moyer. “Guyana is very near Trinidad and Tobago, and this music reminds me of the steel pan music of Trinidad. I’m very much enjoying getting to play Calypso-Band-style music on the violin.”
