NAACP: Unmasked: COVID-19 with Iyanla Vanzant

There’s no disputing the mental toll that COVID-19 has had on the African American community.

As the number of new cases and death rate continue to rise, and more and more people continue to suffer economic losses, this pandemic has hit Black America the hardest.

With this in mind, author and inspirational speaker, Iyanla Vanzant, will lead a discussion on how to navigate through the trauma of this crisis in part two of our virtual town hall series, Unmasked: COVID-19.

In addition to Iyanla Vanzant, the following panelists will provide insight on how to cope during times of uncertainty:

  • Ed Gordon, Journalist
  • Dr. Patrice Harris, President, American Medical Association
  • Benny Napoleon, Sheriff, Wayne County, Michigan

Each speaker will offer words on how we can support our loved ones facing challenges during this difficult time. Living in this new reality, we not only have to think about how we interact with each other, but we must give special care to our mind, body and soul.

I hope you will join us.
