Expanded Partnership with NYC Department of Homeless Services
&
New Partnership with Fashion Designer Kosibah to Donate Masks to Shelters

I hope this message finds you safe and well.  The Music Kitchen team is working diligently to continue serving the community during this challenging time and we are thrilled when we can connect partners to valuable resources. I wanted to share with you the good news of two exciting developments in that regard.   In an expanded partnership with the New York City Department of Homeless Services, Music Kitchen will begin offering our “Bridging the Distance” Performance ZoomCast and live Q&A to the 6,000 homeless clients moved this week from shelters around the city to vacant hotels.  We hope that our performances, curated from throughout this last year and including two Forgotten Voices songs will be a source of comfort and uplifting in a time of uncertainty.  We are also very excited to partner with fashion designer Kosibah along with DHS to provide donated, hand-made masks to up to 100 people experiencing homelessness at this time.  The masks are generously made possible in a 1:1 model, like Tom’s shoes for example: for each mask purchased, the designer will craft and send one to a homeless shelter we serve.  I’m happy to report that in sharing this news preliminarily before I even had a chance to send this newsletter, twenty-five masks have already been ordered!  If you would like to support this effort to provide the remaining 75, please order your bespoke mask while supplies last by emailing Kosibah here.  More information below.
Thanks for all you do.  Please stay safe and be well.
With all best wishes for your health and safety,
Kelly
