Harlem Opera Theater Journey of the African American Classical Singer July 27, 7 PM

Harlem Opera Theater

Dear Patron of the Arts,

Harlem Opera Theater and the Faison Firehouse Theater will present Carami Hilaire, soprano and Antonio Watts, baritone in Concert.  Ms. Hilaire was  our 2017 Vocal Competition, first place winner.

Artistic Director, Gregory Hopkins, will accompany the singers on piano and has designed a program of wonderful arias and duets from the operas of the master composers: Mozart, Verdi and Puccini; along with Spirituals arranged by Hall Johnson and Lena McLin.

We will end the evening with a conversation with the classical singers, Professor Hopkins (international tenor, pianist, organist and conductor); and the audience, as the singers share their Journey in the world of Classical Music.

We thank you for your support of the mission of Harlem Opera Theater to develop an audience for “Opera in Harlem” as we provide performance opportunities for singers of exceptional quality.

We ask you to share this information on social media and join us for a very special evening of Opera and Spirituals.
