Music at the University of Massachusetts
The UMass Wind
Ensemble and Symphony Band present “At the Bandstand,” their opening
concert of the fall semester, on Friday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m in the Fine
Arts Center Concert Hall. The Wind Ensemble will perform Scott
McAllister’s “Black Dog” with faculty clarinetist Romie de
Guise-Langlois, along with William Grant Still’s “Summerland” and other
works. The Symphony Band will present Eric Whitacre’s “October,” Henry
Fillmore’s “The Klaxon” and other compositions.
Tickets are $10
for the general public and $5 for students, seniors and children; the
show is free for UMass students. Tickets can be purchased at the Fine
