The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives Announces Clarence Cox As New National President

Clarence E. Cox III

The National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives (NOBLE) is pleased to announce Clarence E. Cox III as its new National President. Cox served NOBLE previously as our National First Vice-President. In his new role, President Cox has vowed to strengthen service delivery and community impact, create a NOBLE women's advisory council, continue to harness NOBLE's unique expertise within law enforcement, and ensure equity in the administration of justice.

As NOBLE continues to lead on issues of 21st century policing and criminal justice reform while promoting productive community and police relations, we recognize the climate we currently face. It is vital that our leadership remains reflective of our mission and focuses on the challenges and opportunities present in today's law enforcement community. Cox assumes this role with the leadership experience, capability and vision to shape NOBLE's future,- stated Dwayne Crawford, Executive Director.

President Cox specialized in drug enforcement for the majority of his 34-year career in law enforcement, commanding several multi agency drug task forces.  He is the former police chief of Clayton County Public Schools (creating the Clayton County Schools Police), and one of the original agents assigned to Georgia's Homeland Security Task Force post 9/11.
