The NMPhil Classics Season begins with a New Mexico favorite –
pianist Awadagin Pratt, and the impassioned Piano Concerto No. 1 by
Brahms. Also by Brahms – the gypsy flavored Hungarian Dance No. 6. Then – perhaps the most famous symphony ever written, beginning with the four most famous notes – Beethoven’s 5th! Behind the baton – dynamic Brazilian-born Marcelo Lehninger.
