The outpouring of Portland musicians of all genres for the “I Have a Dream Concert” tribute to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. is a wonderful sight to behold. It will benefit the NAACP’s ACT-SO high school student program
(Academic, Cultural, Technological and Scientific Olympics), a yearlong
achievement program designed to recruit, stimulate,
and encourage academic and cultural achievement among African-American
high school students.
The show will be held on Friday, January 18 at the Alberta Rose Theatre,
doors 7pm, show 8pm, $20 advance, $22 at the door, $10 with student ID
or Oregon Trail Card (at the door, $50 VIP (Preferred Seating).
